Form 701-6, Application for Oklahoma Certificate of Title for a Vehicle, or also known as the Oklahoma Vehicle Registration Form is a document issued by the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) and is used to register and get a title for a vehicle in Oklahoma. What are the documents needed to register your vehicle in Oklahoma?

To register your vehicle in Oklahoma, you will need the following documents:

• A completed Application for Oklahoma Certificate of Title for a Vehicle (Form 701-6)

How to register your vehicle in Oklahoma?

Step 1

Visit any Motor License Agents (Tag Agent) office and submit all of the required documents. If your vehicle is used or you have transported it from another state, the tag agent will do a VIN and odometer examination.

Step 2

Pay the required fees. The first time you register a vehicle in Oklahoma, you'll pay:

• A title fee of $11
• A registration fee of $96 for a motor vehicle and $99 for a motorcycle

You may also have to pay:

• A $17 title transfer charge for a newly purchased vehicle
• A VIN inspection fee of $4 for used or out-of-state vehicles
• A lien processing fee, if your vehicle is financed worth $10 if the lienholder is in Oklahoma, and $13 if the lienholder is outside of Oklahoma
• A postage fee of $3 to mail a license plate.
• Excise tax if you're transferring ownership.
