Who should file the Nebraska Change of Address form?

Legal residents of Nebraska who want to file for a renewal or a replacement of their learning permit, driver’s license, motorcycle license, or State ID card must file the Nebraska Change of Address form.

  • For new residents of Nebraska:

If you have just recently moved from another state to Nebraska, you will have to register your out-of-state vehicle and transfer your out-of-state driver’s license on or before the thirtieth (30th) day after moving to Nebraska. For the purposes of complying with Neb. Rev. Stat. 60-484.04, attest by selecting between ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ if you are:

  1. A citizen of the United States.
  2. Are not a citizen of the United States, but do have lawful status and agree to provide valid documentary evidence of such as outlined in 60-484.04.

In the next section of the Nebraska Change of Address form, you will see a series of ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ questions. Do not answer anything that is not applicable to you.

For questions 1A through 4, only motor voters and veterans should be answering it, but answering it is only optional.
